Hi! My name is Vicki Foertschbeck, pronounced “Firtch-beck”. It’s not as scary as it looks, and very much a conversation piece. You can just call me Vicki (like Madonna or Beyonce). I’ve been a Marylander all of my life, and spent many summers sailing on The Chesapeake Bay with my family. I’m currently landlocked in Frederick County, but each year, my wanderlust draws me to a little Caribbean island called Anguilla. I consider it my home away from home. When I’m not limin’ in Anguilla, I welcome new adventures, spend time with family and friends, attend concerts, practice yoga and occasionally pick up an adult coloring book! On my bucket list: ziplining through a rain forest and visiting a Sloth Sanctuary. It will happen one day! I live with my husband Frank, Jackson the Cockapoo, Baxter J. Rufous III, the catdog and Pippa the cat. I adore my 2 adult children – Elizabeth is 27, residing in Tampa, FL and my son Michael is 23 and lives with us here at the zoo.
